MIAX Futures Exchange - Minneapolis Hard Red Spring Wheat - Discontinuance of Warehouse Receipts for Delivery Against Futures

As previously announced and approved by the CFTC, physical delivery in satisfaction of Minneapolis Hard Red Spring Wheat (HRSW) Futures will change from warehouse receipts to shipping certificates beginning with the September 2026 delivery period. Effective July 24, 2026, for the September 2026 and subsequent contracts, warehouse receipts will not be deliverable against Minneapolis HRSW Futures. Physical delivery in satisfaction of Minneapolis HRSW Futures for September 2026 and subsequent contracts will be by shipping certificate only.

After the conclusion of the July 2026 delivery period on July 23, 2026, holders of outstanding warehouse receipts issued prior to the September 2026 contract may:

  1. Sell the warehouse receipt back to the issuing warehouse at a mutually agreeable price;
  2. Cancel the warehouse receipt for load-out;
  3. Continue holding the warehouse receipt and accrue storage obligations to the issuing warehouse;
  4. Sell, transfer, or otherwise dispose of such receipts as permitted by the United States Warehouse Act and applicable law.
For all contract months up to and through the conclusion of the July 2026 delivery period (July 23, 2026):
 
The maximum load-out charges on delivery grain tendered in satisfaction of a Minneapolis HRSW Futures Contract shall be eight cents (8¢) per bushel for wheat regardless of the date of the warehouse receipt.
 
The maximum storage charges on delivery grain tendered in satisfaction of a Minneapolis HRSW Futures Contract shall be seven cents (7¢) per bushel per month or two thousand three hundred thirty three thousandths of a cent ($.002333) per bushel per day for wheat regardless of the date of the warehouse receipt.
 
Insurance charges shall be included within the maximum storage charges.

Effective with the September 2026 contract, clearing members will be able to register shipping certificates on behalf of regular elevators for delivery against Minneapolis HRSW Futures. Additional information on shipping certificates can be found in the FAQ here.
